The home is located on a very special piece of property that is surrounded by 300 acres of conservation land and overlooks Great Marshes, a tidal marsh. The nature trails that lead to Grays beach are easily accessed 50 feet away. The sunsets and views are spectacular. As one of my guests had said, 'You feel like you're on your own private island.' During the course of a day, the lighting changes and creates a magical setting. Cape Cod Bay is the only location on the East Coast where you can view the sun setting over the ocean. It is peaceful and serene to be surrounded by nature and view hundreds of species of birds that call this paradise their home along with white-tailed bunnies who frolick in the yard at dawn and dusk. It is located north of Route 6A, very desirable and within fifteen minutes of ferries, train, airport, pristine bay beaches, Cape Cod Playhouse, antique shops, art galleries, museums, clam shacks, multiple golf courses, playgrounds, kayaking, boat launch, charter boats, and whale watching boats. A five minute walk to the newly renovated neighborhood playground and the village store/ice cream shop. A fifteen minute walk to Grays Beach. A perfect location in a perfect setting.
The house has been renovated with new carpeting, hardwood flooring, custom tile, recessed lighting, and a new kitchen with cherry cabinets, stainless appliances, and granite countertops. New siding/trim, several new windows and doors, and new lighting were completed November 2014. All the furnishings, linens, and mattresses are new to ensure total comfort. Added benefits are central a/c, WiFi, flat screen tv's, laundering of bed linens, fully stocked kitchen, use of 4 kayaks, 4 bicycles, 6 beach chairs, cooler, and beach & bath towels at no additional cost. The yard is expansive to enjoy all types of outdoor activities and dog friendly nature trails are only 50' away. Take a walk through the trails and arrive at Grays Beach. In addition, we own the property next door (property id# 3936094 - Sunset Bay Villa) creating a unique opportunity for guests to rent side by side properties sharing all the amenities that are offered by both homes.

I've vacationed on the Cape for decades, and Sunset Bay Cottage was the top of the line in vacation rentals. The home is roomy for a family or for multiple adults; situated in a private neighborhood with beautiful scenery and walking. We arrived to a fresh clean home with many amenities, including snacks and tourist information. While a car is needed for most destinations, the house is convenient to Mid-Cape Highway, Route 6A, and is central for any day itinerary. We brought our dog who was as happy as her owners with the week's retreat. Would definitely return to this rental. August 2013
The cottage was lovely, comfortable for an extended family of 6. Our hostess, Nance could not have been more helpful in every way. I am a neat freak and this home was immaculate and freshly painted and furnished. Plenty of beach options nearby made it ideal for a 4 generation family to keep everyone happy. Our first family vacation to the Cape was wonderful. The house was located in a very central location, easy to get around, not too crowded. Although we had to drive everywhere, no walking town, everything was nearby. House was very comfortable, clean, spacious. Master bedroom and bath new and updated, kitchen had everything we needed! Owners so friendly and accommodating, provided all the information about the area and other towns on the Cape. All suggestions were right on target. Would definitely return for another stay! We enjoyed a great vacation at your house. The house was nice and clean and the beds were comfortable. The furniture was really nice also. I loved the back yard and sitting on the deck in the a.m watching the birds and bunnies and enjoying the peace and quiet before my kids got out of bed! I have never stayed on that side of Yarmouthport before and it was a nice, quiet neighborhood. July 2013
